I’m Fendi, the writer of Love Noted.
There are dozens of newsletters about technology or business and very few about modern love. (Or are there? If you know of others, send my way.)
Love Noted is the newsletter I’d read if I weren’t producing it. Each issue includes original reporting and a roundup of the latest compelling stories, trends, and news about dating, relationships, sex, friendship, family, and the many ways people connect.
I’ve always been interested in these topics. Maybe because I grew up largely in a one parent household and made it a goal to find and build a healthy relationship of my own. Maybe because women are socialized to care more about these matters. I don’t have a degree in psychology, but I do find people fascinating—certainly more than places or things.
I also contribute culture stories at The San Francisco Standard. I’ve covered the Bay Area’s quirky dating scene and what happened when the brunette Carrie Bradshaw of San Francisco got a boyfriend. Other stories I’m proud of: an interview with Jim Gaffigan and commentary on biracial Asian men in Hollywood.
Previously I was an editor at a boutique agency producing articles, podcasts, and video content for consumer and tech brands like Microsoft and Seiko.
I live in San Francisco with my husband, Moritz, and orange cat, Pinot. I use AI to help copyedit (it often fails), but all writing is my own.
